I've got loads of crap left over from missions.

is there any way to sell them?

No, plot items can't be sold. They made it that way so players wouldn't sell off important quest items before they were used.

Nope, can't sell them. Just drop them somewhere. They'll appear in the divining pool, but at least they won't be clogging up your inventory.
