View Full Version : Purchase LAN cabling

Well as many of you know I'm haivng a house built, the really good news... I get to wire it up myself !!!! :)

I was thinking about going the CAT5 (I don't see much point in 5e) but I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good online stores for me to order about 500 or 1000 feet from? Thanks!

P.S. The house is 2 stories tall, with a basement and I plan to wire just about every room in the house, well minus the bathrooms, I'm not that additcted!

Way cool! Congrats on the new house. Keep us posted and PICS we need pics of the progress. Finaly something you and I can talk about with out being at each others throats. ;)

Here, here to that... just saw they delivered my wood (for framing you sickos) today, so it's all good. And if I had somewhere to host the pics I'd do it. It's nice to see how current homebuilding is done.

Well I am excited for you because I owned a home but lost it in my devorce. Now I'm stuck saving money (lol saving money LOL renting is da devil) in a apartment. :( I love home building and all that stuff, except dealing with the county and their taxes and restrictions. :mad: .

I help build my dad home and wired it for audio, video for him. It is so nice to get to put the outlets and cabling where you want before the drywall is put up.

Serious though, put up pictures when you can.

i got a heap of cat5 cable from ebay dirt cheap :) you just might wanna check.
