I am thinking of getting some Corsair Value S. PC3200 DDR 1024MB matched pair sticks, as i currently have 1x stick of 512MB TwinMOS PC2700 @ 400MHz 3/4/4/8 and i think it's making my system a bit sluggish. Anyway does any one know where i can find some reviews from or personal experience with this type of memory?

I think the memory runs at 2.5/3/3/7 400MHz or something? I am also wondering how well it overclocks i am hopeing for 2.5/3/3/7 @ 420MHz.

Can anyone help?

Theres no real diffrence in brands really so long as they run at the same speed right? Just wondering i can get 1GB Corsair PC3200 Value for £155+7 P&P or i can go to my local store and pick up 2x 512MB TwinMOS PC3200 for £133 just wondering if the Corsair is worth the extra £30?

Also whats KinMAX small BGA memory like? Are they good overclockers?

TwinMOS PC3200 2.5/3/3/8 £133($213)
Corsiar PC3200 select 2.5/3/3/? £155 ($240)
KingMAX Small BGA (BOXED) 2.5/3/3/? £160 ($257)

I might be able to squeeze my budget for
GeIL PC3200 ULD Series 2/3/3/6 + tin heatspreaders £186 ($300)

Which would you says better value for money for performance Vs price?

Thanks.

If you stretch your budget to say £180 then you should be able to get a gig of top shelf ram, eg CorsairXMS or OCZ.

OCZ pc3200 512mb £88 incl vat (http://www.over-clock.co.uk/acatalog/OCZ_Memory.html)

I guess you got your pricing from Komplett.co.uk?

that link I put also has CorsairXMS 3200 @ £94, I think those prices seem pretty good both Corsair and OCZ are top grade stuff

Hmmm which would you pick?

OCZ PC3200 EL, 2/2/3/5 (2.6v) (£176) or
Corsair PC3200 1.1, 2/3/3/6 (£184)

I have to be careful about voltage as the highest my board will give is 2.7

I've also been hearing alot about memory running in 2/2/2/11 is faster then 2/2/2/5 but only in an nForce2 board with dual channel enabled and 200MHz FSB. Also Corsair say 2/3/3 is low latency? How come if others run at 2.5/3/3 an't low latency?
So confusing very doubt 0.5 would do much?

Hey thanks for the links also i am looking into them now http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/images/icons/icon14.gif
