Who is your favorite Formula One team?
William or McLaren...have a soft spot for the perennial back markers though! :p Minardi, Sauber etc!!! I would cheer a win for them but...not likely

Ferrari because I've been following Michael since he was a rookie and until he retires he is "The Man". I really love watching all these young guys with talent though and I honestly can't wait for Michael to retire so I can watch them battle it out. My fiance's Columbian so I am partial to Montoya, plus I've met and spoken to him a couple times.
Kimi, JP, Alonso, & Webber. The future of F1 looks good!
I have been a Ferrari team fan for years. Niki Lauda was the best driver I have ever seen. He always looked like he was going 10mph slower than the guys he was passing.
I voted for BMW WilliamsF1 because BMW kicks ass.

I think the only thing that will cure him is actually getting that bimmer!;)
My younger brother (20 years old) is the same way and he drove all my cars. He just can't wait to buy one of his own.

Ferrari.
They are technically unmatched in the pitlane. Anybody in F1 will tell you the F2003-GA is the superior car in the paddock; it's Bridgestone and their rolling pieces of granite that are holding back the rossa boys.
The technology in the car is amazing. The engine block itself has become a stressed component of the rear suspension. This takes quite a bit of load off the fragile gearboxes, distributing the weight more evenly across the rear sub frame.
About the only place the car is truely lacking is their launch control. It's obvious that the Williams and McLaren cars have the advantage off the line. That's being worked on too; Luka Badoer and Felipe Massa are hard at work in Fiorano to change that.
ever since senna died.. I have been a schumi fan :)
I like raikonnen/montoya/ralf... those guys could form an exciting triumvirate of challengers when schumi moves on... but so long as he is around with ferrari.. I remain a tifosi fan... :D

BMW Williams... have always had a soft spot for them, which began in the Damon Hill/Renault powered days. Though it's great to see they're finally coming back to rival Ferrari... Montoya's win at Hockenheim was superb. I also respect Raikkonen at McLaren, we have a future world champ there. methinks.

We can always hope, I'm glad all the computer crap has been dumped now so the driver skill is the main thing in the race. Mclaren have always had a problem at the start of the season with their engines and dominated through the back end of the season. Sadly they have completly lost it all. I loved Mika Hakkinen, the guy is one of the greatest drivers I have seen in a long time. It's a shame he lost it so quickly:(
McLaren: Next year they should be back at the top. Hakkinen was a great driver, but I would be very surprised if Raikkonen doesn't become a far more successful driver, given his ability and age.

Mika was a very good driver in a great car. Kimi is a great driver in a good car. If he's driving the best car in F1, I don't think anyone can beat him, and that includes Michael & JP. I watched Michael closely as a rookie, which was impressive, but Kimi has continually shocked me for the past two years. And even though the Mclaren is nowhere near the Williams right now, Kimi should be able to compete well against the Ferrari because of the tire advantage. All he needs is a bit of luck and the first of many championships could be his this year.

i was never too impressed with kimi to be honest. hes way overrated. the way he let montoya pass in silverstone was just ridiculous.
im sure he will become a great driver with ambitions to become champion, just not yet. but then thats what i thought of david coulthard in 1995.

Kimi's overrated compared to who? David is practically always slower than him in qualifying and only finishes ahead of him when Kimi retires. David was actually more competitive against Mika when he was there. You also have to keep in mind that since Monaco the Williams has been the best car, by far. Obviously a lot of this has to do with the Michelins, but that's part of the car. Remember that up until Monaco it was Kimi blowing away both Williams in nearly every race he didn't retire in. I really don't think there's anything that Kimi could do in Silverstone to keep JP behind him, it was only a matter of time. And I don't think that Kimi has a chance at the championship unless JP retires in at least one or two of the final four races. And even then he has to deal with Michael, so it really is an outside chance for him this year.
Anyways, until Michael retires I'll remain a Ferrari fan. Along with Ross & Jean, he's done an amazing job there.

by looking at kimis results so far he is overrated. he didnt do that of a big bang job in the sauber after all and damon hill has proven that anyone who has a bit of talent and experience can drive for the win/championship in a good/superior car like the mclaren still is.
i agree somewhat, he had little chance to keep jp behind in silverstone but in that right corner he went out on the dust completely unnecessary and it even happened twice (not sure who passed him as well) in the same corner. im not judging his whole carreer by this one moment but it shows that he isnt ready yet.
as you stated, he doesnt have a real chance for the championship this year.
as for david coulthard ... he was on a good way back a few years, now he is pretty much past his prime imo.

First, if Kimi's overrated, who do you feel is underrated in F1 right now?
As for when he debuted at Sauber. Do you realize that he scored a point in his first F1 race at Melbourne and then only race he retired from because of his own fault was the last one in Suzuka. All other retirements that year were from mechanical failure which includes that race in Imola where his steering wheel broke off! He finished four races that year in the points which I think is pretty impressive for someone who had virtually no race experience before jumping in an F1 car.
He does go off the track more often then he should but I really feel that's because he's always pushing so hard against superior Ferraris or Williams.
I think that David's problem now is that he just didn't expect Kimi to be so competetive against him and I'm pretty sure he's dealing with a lot of self doubt, especially now with all this Jaguar talk.
One thing's for sure, F1 got very interesting this year and it looks like the next few years are going to be a lot of fun w/ JP, Kimi, Michael, Ralf (?), and you never know how much better Renault will get. Alonso's very good and if Renault doesn't improve I hope he ends up at Ferrari, after they fire Barichello!
