It's pretty quiet & illuminated.

I got my wife a cheap Logitech K120 a few months ago to replace an old white clunker. It's one of the quietest keyboards I've ever heard.

I wouldn't see why it would be "bad" for gaming. She played Starcraft with it just fine. But she's not Korean, so she didn't use the keyboard shortcuts too often.

i actually had that one, but smashed it in half in a fit of BFBC2 rage  Yes i know, i need meds  VERY quiet keyboard, sounds exactly like laptop keyboard sound, maybe SLIGHTLY louder. if you buy it and notice its too loud, returning it shouldnt be a problem, no? other than the time wasted....i guess the noise also depends how hard you press the keys i think.

I love my Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000, it's quiet and soft key presses also has multimedia control aswell.

One more vote for the Logitech. I guess quiet depends on your definition, but it certainly is not loud. After using my laptop I really liked the short strokes and the illumination is a plus.

No, it's not quiet. Your ears are broken. They keys are loud when they bounce back up after being pressed.

no, the keys are loud. and i'm not the only one who thinks so.

Even if it is low-profile keyboard and, compared to G15, a very thin one, Lycosa is much more noisy, with buttons making full range of noise to draw you attention.

I have Razor for testing ATM, and it is a little to loud on the buttons... great keyboard and it works nice with the rubber-like buttons and it is nice in CSS, but compearing to my stealseries ultra fla keyboard it is loud... that is verry irritating...

The keys are quite loud, especially the space bar and can be heard distinctly in a quiet environment so the headphones might isolate the sound of the game but the Lycosa is an entirely different issue.

Same, mine's fairly quiet most of the time... Except when I really really get pounding on it... like in this post now. It's fairly loud when I really get into it. Mostly just because of the space bar being very "slappy"

My local OfficeMax and BestBuy both have all their keyboards out on display. Might want to see if a store around you does the same deal so you can check for yourself before you spend any money.

When I bought my keyboard I was down to the Logitech and Lycosa and liked both of them, but the feel of the Lycosa keys wons me over even though it's louder. As long as it feels comfortable to you the Logitech should be what you are looking for.

like i said, the logtitech may fee weird at first because the keys are very similar, if not identical to laptop-style keyboard. i was actually getting really bad wrist pain my first couple days, not sure why :|
