I've got a Epox 8RDA with a XP 2600+ processor and a eVGA 5900 Ultra. I was just looking at the BIOS and saw this Frame Buffer Size. The options are 8,16,32,64,128MB and disabled.
I've been using Google to figure out what I should have but this Frame Buffer Size doesn't have much info about it........Tom

That frame buffer size setting is an nForce2 chipset option. When you are using the nForce2 motherboard's IGP video, that setting determines how much of main RAM is allocated to the motherboard video frame buffer.

The frame buffer setting has no bearing when you use an AGP graphics card. With your 5900 Ultra installed, everything in your system ignores that setting.

Thank You, I couldn't find squat about it.
Then last night I was reading the release notes on the 45.23 Dets and I saw the resolutions supported like 1280x1024 they had a little note and scrolling down I saw that if you span (whatever that is ) you would need a 16Mb frame buffer.
Mine has been disabled and now I can forget about it.........Tom
