Wow... that video made this game look AMAZING! I hate how you can tell they were using a controller... just makes me think there's gonna' be more focus and emphasis on consoles than PC. :(

Regardless, it'll still be a very fun game and likely very stunning on the PC as well. I loved Quake 4, Doom3, Prey... all using the prior engine. This one is sure to be epic as well. Also, with mention of Doom4 in the works, likely using this engine... zOMG!!!!!!

I think the two "must-have" titles for me this year are going to be Rage and Skyrim. It was just Skyrim, but this video really picked my interest. :D

Couldn't help but notice the 'GT' logo in the corner of the video, checked Gametrailers and sure enough, the gameplay vid is there as well, in HD too.

A Shader Model 3 class GPU and a CPU.. ;)
Shouldn't be a very heavy game as it runs 60fps on consoles.

Just being honest- I'm pleased with Quake 4 and HL2 visuals *if* the story isn't lacking. I mean, for today's hardware I'd expect some higher res textures, more polygons, better smoke/fire (referring to Quake4)... out side of that I still think the game looks great.

So for this one the visuals are likely going to be great as they'll be a step up. I'm just hoping that what they didn't invest into the visuals they did invest into story and atmosphere. :)

Anyone else annoyed that there is not enviromental interaction to speak of? I dont need total distruction but have the big monster be able to kick or smash the car out of the way to get to you would have been nice.

yeah I was sort of assuming that would happen but it never did. ... I mean... the antlion queen will knock cars at you if they're in her way in HL2...

His engines always have really good physics systems... he just never puts them into the game for some stupid reason.
