Amazon and ebgames have for 19.99. Guess that the new price. I was thinking about getting but do you need it in order to play the new edition 2004 edition?

I'm 99% sure that the 2004 edition will be a standalone product.

it is standalone... epic games is offering a rebate for people who purchased ut2003
