Anyone got a Corsair Hydro (http://www.corsair.com/cooling/hydro-series.html), tried one? Looks nice and a new way of cooling. I'm thinking of getting a Corsair A50 (http://www.corsair.com/cooling/air-series/air-series-a50.html) myself, since this Hydro might be a bit too extreme for what I want.

I have one - As do several member on this board. For the people that hate it, they hate it because it's "crappy water cooling", which it isn't. It's an average priced high end air cooler, basically.

Idle on my i7 930 I get around 20c and with load I don't go over 38c.

Yeah, I noticed it was air cooled and using the back case fan vent. Seems like a really good idea and looks neat in the case as well.

Ya it's a FANTASTIC cooler. I love it. As does everyone else on here that uses it. Granted, temps are also contributed to room temp but I'm in my basement where it's always really cool.

You won't find a better high end air cooler, IMO.

I was thinking about getting one but I don't know how it compares to my U12P.

Yep, I've seen it for 49.80. I could easily spend money on Corsair stuff. :)

hmm better by a small margin in dual fan config

Would the H60 or H70 perform significantly better? Radiator sizes don't look different enough to matter...

The risk of watercooling with worst performance than air.

H70 is almost as good as the Noctua NH-D14, the best air cooler around. That seems pretty good to me...

Eh, The performance difference I have seen between mine and the Corsair series varies between 1 to 5 degrees... not worth the price for what I have now.

If you already have a good Noctua cooler, then no, it's not worth it, but the upcoming H80/H100 might change that.

I like my H70. It's nothing groundbreaking performance wise, but it does strike a good balance between noise and performance when the voltage reducers are used. I had to buy separate fans to replace the Corsair ones due to noise at high RPMs.

OK, really tempted to get a H50 and eventually go Corsair on memory and PSU.

Are you mental?! :captnkill: the day you go for watercooling is the day I smash my PC ;)

Well, the Corsair Hydro is as simple as fitting a normal HS/F, so OK, smash your PC if you like. ;)

No.

Oh, so you are trying to say that none of the coolers from corsair can, or have leaked?

I don't know about them. All that I know is that my cooler is solid, and I have yet to experience any problems with it. I have had air coolers in the past that went full retard on me, but I have yet to have my CoolIT or my H70 to go bad.

What kind of OC do you get with your H70 or are you being lame and running stock?
