I'm going to upgrate my computer's:

1. Mobo
2. CPU
3. Memory
4. CPU Fan

I have a $500 limit, could someone please set me in the right dir'n, I haven't looked at CPU's or mobos in a long time...

While I'm at it I may as well do my parents, they have a $300 budget, would appreciate recommendations for both... :captnkill:

Thanks,

Vanz

so Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge is the best bang for my buck in my price range?

if you want a i5 2500K, get it from microcenter, they are quite cheap there:
