I brought a capture card off ebay a few days ago and I got it in the mail today. All the reviews I read for it were positive, and the quality is quite good. I encountered a few problems though.

Everytime I rip video, there's no sound once I save it. I hear sound fine while watching TV on my computer, but when I go to open the AVI file after it's been saved, the sound is gone.

I record a 30 second commercial or something, and it takes up 200+ megs. I know there's a way to compress it with divx or something, but i'm not sure how.

Info about the card I have can be found at http://www.prolink.com.tw/english/p...LAYTV%20PVR.htm

Also, a review, that s ays what software is inclusded and stuff, is located here: http://www.amdzone.com/articleview.cfm?ArticleID=1260

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

200MB for a 30 second commercial! Wow.

To be honest I'm not familiar with that product but if its anything like our All-In-Wonder there should be an option somewhere in the setup or options menu that lets you pick compression. You need to make sure you are capturing tv in MPEG-2 format.

Good luck
