I see some have the reference cooling while others have Leadtek's Twin Turbo cooling. Id like to get one with the twin turbo cooling setup, but Im afraid to order one & get the reference design. Anybody know whats going on?

Well I bought Leadtek 5900 Ultra last month, it came with reference cooling, I was impressed that it was slient sound, my friend have Leadtek Geforce 4 Ti 4200 with Leadtek's twin turbo cooling, he told me it is noisy, it not slient.

I post my thread a month ago about my new card and somebody replied that he claimed to have Leadtek 5900 Ultra with twin turbo cooling and I asked him to compared the different between 2 cards with reference cooling and turbo cooling but he never replied so I guess his post is hoaxed, he would wished he had the card with leadtek turbo cooling that he didnt have it.

I am curious to find out what the difference between 2 coolings.

Here my Leadtek 5900 Ultra with reference cooling's date when it made and version, BIOS version, 2D & 3D Core & Memory clock speeds:

23 June 2003 version 3.1

BIOS version 4.35.20.22

2D: Core: 300Mhz Memory: 850Mhz
3D: Core: 450Mhz Memory: 850Mhz

Newegg told me as far as they can tell, the cards their selling, are of the refrence design. I sent Leadtek an email last week & they still havent responded. Maybe its time for me to be looking at the Asus model

I never said both are the same, Ti4200 TwinTurbo is the original one, 5900 and 5900 Ultra use the latest TwinTurbo II, it use quite 2 big fans than the original small fans. I think the latest TwinTurbo II is slight more noisy than the original TwinTurbo.
