too. much. jealousy.
Nice and enjoy. I'm using that ram, works great.
NICE mullet! I have a cart full myself, but not pulling the trigger yet. :)
Just curious why you're going for the P67 instead of the Z68. I've been going back and forth between this Asus Z68 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131730) and a similarly featured Gigabyte board.
Not trying to change your mind, just curious. :)
the 2 minimal features that were in the new chipset weren't anything I was interested in. 1 of the features had to do with ivy bridge onchip video and the other was using small SSD's with HDD for caching for those folks that need a lot of HDD space. They say the new Z68 is ivy bridge compatible but I would just get a new board and CPU then just getting a new CPU.

COOL mullet. Pretty close to the system I just put together. We should play Dragon Age Legends together to test our TEH POWAH!

I'm still going to hold off on upgrading until later this year. I'm waiting for the dust to settle a little more between AMD/Intel.
@Doc
You've already got a decent i7. An upgrade to a 2600K wouldn't be very dramatic. Even going from a Q6600 to my 2600 wasn't night and day across the board. (Even though it made a world of difference in Eclipse)

Yea, that's another thing that I'm contemplating. My system I have is already a beast, which means that I may wait until next year to upgrade.

This. Why I am not upgrading until there is something to actually upgrade to.
Nice setup but me i hate Antec fans they are soooo loud!!

Gotcha, thanks. Now I have to decide lol.

Cool, I wish I knew more about it Grey but if the price difference was very small I would have gone with the Z68 but it was a lot more so.

Correct!

I would normally agree with you but I have 5 antec 120mm case fans and there on low and my system is very quiet. If I had only 2 or 3 and had to run then higher to get the same air flow I would agree with you and it would be loud.
Awesome specs mullet! Congrats :)
Can't wait to see the final build. You always have the cleanest looking systems :)
Thanks dude, I will try and get some pics up although it will probably look the same as what I have now.

I actually like the Tri-Cools. The have a good price/performance/sound ratio. If you're looking for silent, they're the wrong choice.

I have 8 dead tri-cool fans in my closet if anyone wants some. They are the biggest piles of crap ever.
True If I had a i7 1156 or 1366 I would not upgrade to a new system either. I would get a new video card, 24" IPS monitor and a SSD and call it a day.

This is the boat I'm in.
I'd like to do a complete new rig this winter... but kinda' doubting I'll go that route. Just no need to. My 920 is stock and it's still far more CPU than I need. Instead I'm thinking I'll just do a major over-haul to this rig- possibly newer mobo, max the ram out, larger SSDs, new video card, larger HDDs, etc. If I can find one for cheap enough I'm hoping to snag a 970... but I'm not too worried about that. Oh, also looking to pickup an IPS LED monitor this winter, if I can find a reasonable deal on a decent one.
Regarding your new rig... that thing will be a beast! You'll love it. Looking forward to pics as well. :) :D
