This looks intriguing but the vague description of the game on its Steam store page has me a bit wary - especially this feature "Multiplayer co-op modes directly influence solo play, and vice-versa. The limits of solo and multiplayer games are finally left behind". What does that mean exactly? I checked out the web site and found little information as the writing is incredibly stilted and awkward. Like this paragraph:

Ultra liberalism created high-powered monsters, even almighty. Their appetite could wolf down worlds, lives. Such chaos, these entities destroy as well as they create. It was in these terms that a blasť investigator could spoke to you about the corporations and others megacorporations.

Yeah, sounds like English is not the native language of this team.

Mixed feelings after watching the trailers. Seems they're trying way to hard. The combat looks like it could be fun, but wow that menu system looks way to clumsy. I don't want to have to configure for 3 minutes just to kill a couple of guys

Meh, I played guinea pig when Battle: LA was released - someone else do it this time. :p

In the chat there is one of the level designers, he's answering all sorts of questions, concerns etc.

I am happy to support this team, it's nice to see something as unique as this game surface.

"Diamond in the rough" you could say.

If you enjoy the locales and atmosphere of Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell movies.

The gameplay of Deus Ex, Dark Messiah, Neotokyo (Source mod)

2-8 player coop, seamlessly integrating your leveling up when you jump from mp to sp and vice versa.

Game is good so far, some lag here and there in mp when 8 or more players. Some servers max out at 24 players. But laggy mess.

Game plays smooooooooth with 4 players :)

My repost quick impressions and screens from Rage3D:

This game is freakin' awesome so far. :captnkill: Love the HUD and UI. This game is so non-console in a grand, beautiful way.

I get a Stalker + Deus Ex type vib from this game so far. All outstanding stuff.

Well got 11 hours logged according to Steam. This game is truly excellent in so many way BUT its got many bugs at the moment. Nothing truly game breaking, just exploits and stat/economy glitches mainly. Its plenty playable but tons of details need ironing out. I will pause my play and wait for some patches.

Its a RPG FPS. Very atmospheric. Complex and non-hand holding. Borderlands is a childs game compared to this.

So very PC in and grand beautiful way?

From what a friend of mine told me its similar to Deus Ex meets Borderlands meets killing floor since enemies constantly respawn. Menu system is overly cumbersome but offers a lot.

I want to try it because I love games that give me options but im going to wait for a sale.

Why yes, yes it is. I'd take this buggy PC game over any recent AAA high production generic game any day.

It's similar to borderlands, with less polish and worse level design.

And some more depth I guess.

Played the hell out of it for about a week, I loved it, its a little rough around the edges but it kind of captures that Deus Ex feel, with a super-deep RPG system added on it. If you're into deep RPGs with stats and details out the wazoo, and Deus Ex-style augmented super-human FPS play, I would highly recommend it.

Has a lot of replayability too, with multiple choices of paths you can take and alliances you can forge and character play styles. It also has a random objective generator so you can go back and play through missions/levels you've already beat and it gives you random new objectives with variations of enemies in the level, its pretty cool. I love going back to those old levels when you're more powerful and finding new ways to do things, picking up cars and throwing them, jumping up to places you couldn't reach before, its pretty fun.

I think I put about 80-100 hours into it before I kinda started getting to the point that I had seen and done everything, and even then theres multiplayer beyond that.
