machinima (http://www.youtube.com/user/machinima) has uploaded a sweet Metro Last Light Exclusive 12-Minute Playthrough video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCVREJyyZWA) that shows off some amazing use of PhysX. This past week we reported on a Metro: Last Light developer interview that NVIDIA conducted (http://www.gamephys.com/game-physics/metro-last-light-interview-talks-physx/) where it was confirmed that like Metro: 2033, Metro: Last night will make use of PhysX. In the interview the developer said that a ‚??huge amount of particle effects will be used‚?? along with cloth, and fog. You can watch the rest of the interview here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PwE8L0o32o&t=6m16s). This new gameplay video shows this in action and it looks really impressive.

Below are some YouTube linked to a certain time in the video where you can see the new PhysX effects.

Nice PhysX and destruction effects: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCVREJyyZWA&t=5m33s

It's funny how all ATI owners don't care about PhysX but almost all of them try to make it work by adding an secondary NV card in their systems ;)

we really dont. PhysX is cool, sometimes it is VERY cool, but it is not going to make me choose a different card.

What is even funnier is them crying about nvidia working with devs to make their cards work better. Like they are doing something ATI can't do.

I say let them fap over benchmarks, I will enjoy the advantages in games like this and Batman.

Actually ATI was the first to ever work with a company in order to ensure better performance for their cards.

Check all of the Half Life titles and Call Of Juarez....

That aside when i say i don't like something i don't care if i have it or not, which is not the case with most ATI users.

AMD primary card and Nv for physx is a great solution. It works fine and has for a while. I wouldn't run physx without a dedicated card even if I had an nV primary card. Why? Simply because it affects your fps.

Dedicated Physx card FTW whether you have AMD primary or nV primary cards.

@ Metro: Last light.....:drooling:

Actually it hasn't worked for a while....The hack that did make that possible was soon disabled by NV....The one after that hardly works for most people.....Lately certain AMD cards have the ability to co-work with NV cards but that's just about all in terms of "official" support.

Either way i consider it as silly, to say the least, for someone to own an ATI/AMD card and have a secondary NV one for PhysX...It's like admiting to having an inferior product in the first place so why have it ? It's like buying an Ford and using a turbo from Opel or Mercedes......That's how i think at least.

Eyefinity+physx

Eyefinity ? You know many that have 6 monitors connected ? The only person i know that actually uses eyefinity has 4 20" LCD screens and the result is not something i'd ever do....Even my single 30" NEC is more than enough when playing games and if i placed a 2nd one i doubt i would be able to see everything without turning my head so to me at least things like eyefinity don't matter.
