I'm hoping someone can help me, and bare with me in the process, i'm very new to video card capping.
Anyways, i'm having a problem here with capturing quality. Everytime I cap something there are visible verticle lines going across the picture. I use virtual dub to compress the files. I also record the avi in virtualdub using Divx coedc. The lines keep the picture from being clear. I know this isn't a 200 dollar card, but if this is just the way this card is, I will be returning it. This is very annoying and it turns me off to capturing anything at all. I know i'm not going to get digital clear quality, but all the other captures that I have of TV shows, are clear quality. Not 100% digital, but they don't have these verticle lines/low static issue.
A few people were telling me about a filter in virtual dub, noise reduction, etc..i'm not sure what works.
I posted a short 6 meg clip of one of my caps located at http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/kapswrestlingvideos/test1.avi so you can see the lines im talking about. It's nothing major, but i'm hoping I can do something to get the picture alittle bit more clearer.
Any help would be great. I'm using a cable TV connection to cap of course.
Thanks!!
