Temps have shot down, seem more stable. Feel more like the older sets in that respect.

Was getting top card temps of around 50C just using Chrome, writing email etc this is down to 40C and my bottom card just 33C.

Keepers for now.

Installed these, coming from the latest WHQL drivers. Temps did drop a few degrees. But I started getting the display driver has stopped responding problem, which I had never had before...

Are there any newer leaked beta drivers? This "stopped responding" problem 3-5 times a day is very annoying. I know some have had success turning off Aero, but that feels like cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Who knows. I ran these for a week and never had problems like that. I only switched because vsync in Rage was weird with this set, but OK in 280.26.

The profile was set to Force Off. You can change it and all is well. This is the recommended driver for RAGE.

You're right....when I install drivers I just keep the settings. The profile I had showed Rage as being forced on, but it wasn't. I did a clean install and looked again. Rage was Forced Off, so I changed it. Very strange.

Update: I'm not having any issues. I'm keeping this set until the next WHQL. This set works well in Rage and SWTOR. If you are getting Aero problems or Display not responding issues, then it's your hardware, usually. I had a bad fan on a GTX 260 and it would do that. I ended up replacing it with a GTX 285 at the time.
