View Full Version : CPU past 2.53 and Ram past PC2700 worth it for hardcore gamer?

Just wondering if you guys think there would be huge leap in performance or even "wow this was worth the money" useing a P4 2.53 with PC2700, running a 9800 PRO and upgradeing to either a 2.8 FSB800 or 3.0 FSB 533 with some new Cosair XMS Dual Ram.

This is stricly for hardcore gaming. Dont wanna do this then have sit for a hour concentrating and then trying convince myself there is difference.

I would wait for either the prescott 3.4GHz+ w/ PC3200 ram or Athlon 64 FX w/ PC3200ECC Ram.

Hehe its not like I will be able to afford the new Prescott's anyway. But I guess prices will drop further. Anway I got 3 no go's so I will wait. Danke!

Yeah it's pretty easy heck you won't even have to bump up the voltage :)
