View Full Version : Ripping music from DVD
I have the movie "Full metal jacket" and the last song during the credits is called "Paint it black". I want it ripped.
How do I go about it?
I don't want to spend more than 5 minutes doing it either.
I only posted it here because not many people check the software forum, which is a shame considering I can barely get ANY answers there.

Essentially, you can't. You'd have to rip the entire Dolby Digital layer and then edit it, and then downsample it and convert it to MP3/Ogg.

dvd2avi will let you make a nice simple AC3 steam to play with :)
I had the exact same query regarding the "Hell Freezes Over" by the Eagles DVD, there were a couple of songs on that which were not featured on the CD.
The answer to your question is simple, download a program called "total recorder" it cost though, If memory serves me right its only a token cost. I have used the small program successfully numerous times the link necessar below.:afro2:

Do a rip with 'frameserver' enabled and when it's finished you'll have a nice big DVD quality .wav file to play with and edit and such
all in all should take about 20 minutes :D
