The real-time shadows KILLS the performance on this engine. :(
Boy am i glad i got this GeForce 3. This game would of slaped my old GeForce 2 MX and called it susan. Glad to see a GeForce 3 can still do a good job at rendering advanced games. I may not have gotten the highest frame rate, but its perfectly playable. This engine is wierd though, even though my frame rate was pretty high i still saw some odd stuttering.

Shadows really do kill the performance in this game, but I can't remember the last time I played ANY games with shadows since Mafia. :lol: (I'm not a big shadow fan, I'd rather have the extra performance. ;) )
Does that mean you're going to run DOOM III without shadows? I hope not, DOOM III would look a little ugly without shadows.

I could say something smarmy about it looking a little ugly anyways...but if the shadow performance hit on Doom3 is anything like this benchmark than YES I'll run it without shadows! :)
the benchmark takes bloody ages... lol... I'll do a run with shadows on in a bit...

Personally I think the ingame AA is x2, I get a much cleaner image when using x4AA via drivers and only an extra 3fps performance hit against using x2AA.
