The fan on my Visiontek GF3ti500 failed, how do I go about this situation as seeing Visiontek makes ATI cards now? Thank you for your help.

Heh, mine failed on my GF3ti200. I think you either have to find a similar fan that fits at a computer show or on the net, or buy a new card... you can get a 128mb DirectX9 Nvidia FX5200 from Newegg.com for $60-$70. Might be better off doing that than going through the hassle of getting and installing a proper fan.

From Thermaltech will work fine on your VT GF3 Ti500. Also Vantec makes some nice video chipset coolers that should work ok. You can find stuff online at places like NewEgg, or at your local computer store, CompUSA, etc.

As for getting a 128 meg GFFX 5200, while it does support DX9, it is still plenty slow. Your GF3 Ti500 is way faster. The 5200 Ultra might be ok, or a 5600 or 5600 Ultra. In all honesty its easier/cheaper to just put a good fan on your GF3 and keep using it. Still are not many games out that slow a Ti500 down if you game at 1024 x 768, 32 bit color, no AA/AF.

I have GF3, and I'm not upgrading my video card till Xmas time or early next year :)

A Crystal Orb can be had for around $10. I'd go for that.
