... HEh, great, I can't wait for the shootouts vs. 5600U rev2's and OC'ed 9600 pro's... I'm pleased that nvidia's filling out the mid-performance sector even more now...

... I now have MANY MANY choices!!

:)

Thanks for the pics, 991060...

Be interesting to see how it compares with the 9800non-Pro in terms of price / performance.

From the spec it should be a nice performing card :)

I'm definitely anticipating the release of this card, and will do everything possible to obtain a review sample... I have a *warmer**fuzzier* feeling about nv having 3 cards based on the top o the line core a la GF3 and GF4...

SOMEBODY PLEASE GET ONE OF THESE CARDS TO THE US!!! :D:D

I jus hope the price is good. If the price is right i am sure this will be the new best MAINSTREAM card.

They're going to have a really tough time if they're over $250. 9600 Pros are what, $170 now? And 5600 Ultra Rev 2s are still around $250. Big Problem.

5600U rev.2 are great cards but their price is jus too much.. so if they brought this down to same price as 5600U's then it should be worth it.

Hopefully, this will list for $250-300 and bring the 5600 Ultras down to <$200. Then NVIDIA would be really competitive in the mid-end market.

In the UK the FX5600Ultra Rev2 is arounf 170~200 and a Radeon 9800NP and most likley the GeForceFX 5900SE will be around 220, well worth the little extra money

If they can get the MSRP at about US$229 for the 5900SE, then it should sell extremely well. As was said, anything more than $249 will be tough, at least for the initial wave of interest.

But it looks like this will be a tough card to beat in the mid-range. Hopefully its performance will be on-par with the 9800NP in most aspects.

the nvidia's suggested price of 5900SE is around 299$,it could be lower for brands like gainward and sparkel.

I think 5600U Rev2 will go to below 200$.

$179 for eVGA on newegg, and that includes VIVO.

$300 is way to high for this crappy card:p

yes, there's decision has to be done. NV36 is clocked at 500/500,having half number of the pixel pipelines.

If MSRP is $299 then the card itself should be sold in retail stores for $229 or $249 which is ok i would think. The real decision however should me made when we some reviews on this card.:D

There is no way it can stand a chance at 299$ mainly because with rebates from compusa you can get a 9800pro for 299$

Not all countries has rebates ;)

Sorry to bring this up, but this thing had better be around $200. The 9800 non pro can compete with the 5900 non ultra and it can be found for under $250 in the US. I dont mean to burst any bubbles here, but as welcome as this card is, its going to have to be cheaper than the competition to be really compete.
