The Washington Post said that Halliburton, the world's second-largest oil field service company, could make hundreds of millions more dollars than earlier disclosed for services such as maintaining Iraqi oil fields under a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract, according to documents surveyed by the newspaper.

Why do you make this out to be a liberal thing?

It's in the interests of the nation as a whole to make certain we do things for the right reasons. Typically monetary gains isn't one of them.

Even conservatives should take stock of the law and adherence to it.

If someone wants more coverage concerning this war in Iraq, they could read "Weapons of Mass Deception" by Sheldon Rampton and John Stauber. Then when finished they could take a look at "Bush's Brain: How Karl Roove Made George W. Bush Presidential" by James Moore and Wayne Slater. The latter I just began to read. A hundreds of million dollar contract given no-bid to the Vice-Prez's ex-company? You see absolutely nothing suspicious about that? :eek2: Now the company is adding extras onto their no-bid contract going way over the initial estimate?!?!

I used to work for an electrical contractor and part of my job was putting together bid packages, and if there was a bid that was given out like that in my neck of the woods to a competitor over me with those kind of conditions then HELL YES I'd be going ballistic!

This is the exact same thing, but on a much bigger scale! :mad:
