Hot on the heels of yesterday‚??s press conference (http://blogs.nvidia.com/2012/01/nvidia-press-conference-recap-ice-cream-sandwich-to-unify-android-platform/) ‚?? where CEO Jen-Hsun Huang and ASUS CEO Jerry Shen introduced the new quad-core 7-inch ASUS tablet powered by Tegra 3, priced at only $249 ‚?? our booth shows just how diverse Android tablets are getting.

ASUS also announced yesterday at the press conference that the Transformer Prime TF201 is now receiving Android 4.0 ‚??Ice Cream Sandwich‚?? OS via OTA updates.

You‚??ll see a fleet of Tegra 3 quad-core tablets, and various Tegra-optimized software and game demos.

Tegra devices
These Tegra 3-powered devices were announced at CES 2012:

ASUS Eee Pad MeMo ME370T 7-inch Android tablet, priced at $249.
ASUS Transformer Prime TF700T, toting a 1920 x 1200 resolution 1080p HD display, a new 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a new chassis.
Acer Iconia Tab A700 Android tablet, with a similar 10.1-inch form factor, but packing a 1920 x 1200 resolution 1080p HD display. It features a microSD card slot, HDMI port and, of course, Bluetooth support.
Lenovo IdeaPad K2 Android tablet, boasting a 1920 x 1200 IPS display, both front- and rear-facing cameras, DDR3 high-performance memory and SRS surround sound technology.
Fujitsu announced an Android super phone, running the latest Android 4.0 ‚??Ice Cream Sandwich‚?? OS.
These Tegra 3-powered tablets are being shown:

Acer Iconia Tab A510 Android tablet, sporting a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display.
Upcoming is ZTE‚??s Android tablet, which marries the performance of the Tegra 3¬* mobile processor into a highly portable 7-inch form factor boasting 1280 x 800 resolution.
ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 is also on display with Android 4.0 ICS. The ICS update is rolling out to consumers via an OTA update.
To mix it up a bit, we‚??re also showing off Tely Labs‚?? TelyHD Skype video phone, powered by Tegra 2. The Android device beams Skype video calls in HD resolution to a big-screen TV, and can turn any TV into a Skype video-phone.

If you‚??re lucky enough to be able to stalk the show floor, you‚??ll also see other Tegra 3-powered Android tablets.

New Tegra software demos
NVIDIA has been working with app developers to create specially optimized apps that take advantage of multi-core Tegra Android devices.

Developer Nik is showing off their Snapseedphoto enhancement and sharing app for Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) devices. The app ‚?? an Apple iPad App of the Year for 2011 ‚?? debuts exclusively on both Tegra 2 and Tegra 3 devices powered by ICS.
Madfinger Games is showing off two new versions of their popular Shadowgun Android game at the NVIDIA booth. The newest ‚?? Shadowgun: DEADZONE ‚?? allows up to eight players to pit their mutant zombie-killing skills against one another in wireless, multiplayer action. It debuts exclusively on Tegra 3 devices soon. In addition, Shadowgun THD ‚?? the Tegra 3, quad-core optimized version of Shadowgun ‚?? is being shown off in stereoscopic 3D for Tegra 3 devices.
The new Splashtop THD app accesses the hardware-acceleration capabilities inside Tegra 3 to enable remote PC gaming on your portable device for the first time. We showed off this app during our CES 2012 press conference (http://blogs.nvidia.com/2012/01/nvidia-press-conference-recap-ice-cream-sandwich-to-unify-android-platform/), where the ASUS Transformer Prime connected remotely to a GeForce GTX based gaming PC to play Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
Also announced was the new PowerDirector Mobile for Android app, from software maker CyberLink. It‚??s optimized for Tegra 3 to enable high-performance video editing on compatible Android devices.
You need to see this stuff to truly appreciate it. So, come by our booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center‚??s South Hall, Booth #31431 to take in all the Tegra goodness for yourself.
