I'm looking to buy card for my custom-build. Would prefer SLI capable. PCIe slot. Card(s) must work well with both XP Pro SP3 (DirectX 9.0c) and Linux Mint. Pricewise, $350 each is close to my limit. Also need 'TV-out' component video connectors for my LCD TV, and DVI-I for monitor.

Does your LCD TV has HDMI input? This would be much better than TV-Out (RCA).
If yes, any recent card would do For your budget, probably a GTX 560 Ti would fit you.

I am new to this so can you please tell me the difference between SLI ready and SLI capable?

No, I picked my LCD TV, DVD recorder, etc., on just that basis...no DRM/HDCP junk! Same requirements for my build. Hence no HDMI, Display port, DVI-D, etc.

After further research, it appears two graphics cards are not needed. Also, looks like in order to get 'fullscreen mirroring' I'll require a Geforce 7 series card. Any recommendations?
