Still need more memory bandwidth for Blood Rayne 2 with texture pack and SSAA? :p How much is enough?

it's never enough! :p

Entry level GK107 card

http://img.inpai.com.cn/article/2012/2/21/c4e678b4-3a2a-4333-9872-3ba53c0ada24.jpg

GK107 score P3818 3DMark11, faster than Radeon HD 6850, Radeon HD 7770 and Geforce GTX 560 SE.

Old and fake. They just used a differently clocked GF104/114 for the score. No card that uses regular DDR3 is going to perform on par with anything using GDDR3/5.

You probably not read it through. There will be 2 versions of GK107 with GDDR3 and GDDR5, the video benchmark are believed to be GK107-300 with GDDR5 memory and the low end GK107-200 used GDDR3 memory.

Here is the full naked GK104 card. :D

GK104 is confirmed to have 256bit bus.

So this GK104 part is not the high end part right? i.e. not the successor to the GTX 580?

This PCB in AthlonXP1800's pic above should be the GTX 660 then?

Nope, it is NOT the GTX 660, rumor is, the GK104 is the GTX 670. From several sources.

I read the link provided again, accorded to Techpowerup that the GK104 will be the high end, the final product will be branded as GTX 680 and GTX 670 Ti. GTX 680 will be the successor to GTX 580.

There will be a higher end part than GK104 whatever it ends up being called. The GK110 is it, and it should have a 512-bit memory bus. If the GK104 is called the 680, then either the GK110 will carry the label of GTX 690, thus moving all cards up one notch to match AMD's new naming that came in last gen, or GK110 is a fair way off and could be released as GTX 780 later in the year. Those are my two guesses.

Fingers crossed :D

To be honest, i think that we will only see a card with a 256 or 384 bit bus.

During the past years, the biggest jumps in performance came from the biggest jumps in the memory bandwidth.

Remember the performance jump from the 7800GTX to the 7800GTX512/7900GTX, or with the 8800GTX with a 384 bit bus, or my lovely GTX285 with a 512 bit bus :D

All looks good, very good. But....it has hot clocks.

Apparently GK1xx doesnt have hot clocks like Fermi. Or maybe its just GK104 that lost hot clocks?

Or not, now there are rumors GK104 will have hot clocks too..

AMD confirmed Tenerife is fake and did not existed so the next AMD high end card to launch will be Radeon HD 7990 that will compete with Nvidia GK110 due to launch in August with two variants GK110 Ultra and standard. Nvidia confirmed there will be dual GK104 card in May, it probably will be called GTX 690 but what about GK110 Ultra and standard? They probably will be called GTX 685 Ultra and 695 Ultra.

It look much like GTX 470 cooler with small fan isnt it?

The picture seemed blurred as the guy who took the picture forgetten to focus the camera, here the second update with better clear picture.

http://www.techpowerup.com/img/12-03-08/117a.jpg

You probably will noticed it sported a new Geforce logo as well as stacked power connecters.

Nvidia will change the current Geforce logo to brand new logo.

Here, I doubled the brightness levels on the same picture I referenced. Looks like a 5 to me!

Wow I am stunned looked at the back pic only to find GTX 670 packed into a tiny PCB, that explained people wondered why 2 x 6 pins power connectors moved nearly to the middle of the card.

It will be very interest to see if GTX 670 in a tiny PCB can overclock well to match GTX 680 peformance.
