Which of these cards is the best for the money as in price/performance, radeon 9800 pro 128mb, 9800 128mb, 5900 non-ultra 128mb.

Probably a 9800 non-Pro since they can be had for less than $300 nowadays. 5900 non-Ultras can OCCASIONALLY be found for that price, but it's a lot harder to find them.

I would say the Radeon 128 nonpro since you can get it for around $250 in some places and it will normaly overclock to R9800pro levels.

The eVGA GeForce FX 5900 128MB can be had for $249 from buyxtremegear.com or gameve.com.

It all depends on which type of games you want to play as both cards excel better in different types of games.

Either the R9800np or the FX5900 non-ultra........The "PRO" and "Ultra" designations do not justify the additional cost w/ minimal performance gain. If you have money to spare, go for it, but if you're looking for price/performance, the non-ultra and non-pro are both very good cards.

I tend to sway towards the R9800, better fsaa quality, and the PS2.0 benches kind of have me freaked out about the FX5900....
