I am trying, unsuccessfully, to get a PNY Quadro 400NVS to work with my Dell Precision 340 (BIOS rev A1) running WIN NT4/SP6.
I have loaded several of the most recent versions of the WINNT drivers and with each one can only get unusable garbage on the screen, forcing me to reboot to restore the MS default VGA driver. I have followed the installation steps to the letter, including disabling the virus scanner.
My system is a dual boot with Red Hat Linux, and I have gotten the card to work fine in Linux, so I know it's not a video card hardware problem. I have even tried testing the card in a different (non-Dell) computer with NT4/SP6 and the card works fine there, too.
Does anyone have any suggestions or a similar experience? Might a BIOS upgrade fix this?
Thanks
Doug
