Okay guys.

Discuss anything that has to do with AquaMark3 - The Reality Benchmark.

Just noticed at B3D's forums that someone had already benched fx5900u and Radeon 9800Pro with this. Radeon is leading by ~15%.

Did they have the final version or a pre version of Aquamark 3? I'm wondering if these results are final ...

Scary indeed....40 fps with aa and af on a 9800 pro in 1024 by 768 ??? and 30 fps for 5900U on same settings? Good goly miss molly the present top gen cards are maxed out already?? bring on the next gen cards now! :p

Alexander (Massive Development's MD) didn't want to comment whether those benchmarks are reliable or not.

Also Wolfgang mentioned AM3 pushes about 2.5 times the shaders and polygons of a advanced DX9 game - namely Aquanox 2 - DX9 shader version.

So wait less than 3 days and see the results for yourself.

Im not sure if thats low hm. Anyways they say 20,000+ is enoguh to play Aquanox2 at high deal smoothly, so i guess so.

accept for the env.mapping on the ships it looks just like the game (only a lot slower) That explosion was Overkill, onpurpose though

i've just install it and run it right away, got around 25000 score.

GFX around 3800 ( the 9700 pro was at default speeds, cats 3.6 )
CPU around 3400.

I guess i need a new CPU, etc ... :( ( the p3 3G scored 3 times higher )

my test was done with all things @ stock clocks. and cats 3.7.

37,704 for me on Bubbles at her sig speed defaults. :)

It's a good looking benchmark indeed. I got 54,855 with the system in my sig, which is 24/7 settings :cool:

Also testet on my sons system, a P4 2.8/533 with 512 MB of rdram and a R9700PRO (clocket at 340/315), and it got 37460, and there's a url here (http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?runID=7382182)

It ran very smooth on both systems

hmmm... for some reason my am3 wont enable hyperthreading on my chip..its grayed out in the options, but indeed i have a hyperthreading cpu.. 3 cpus show up in device manager.. etc.
