There anyway to see Nvidia Demos on ATI 9800?

first of all, lets start with English lesson....

If you want to ask, you need to insert "IS" in the beginnng of sentence.
Second, not "anyway" but "any way"....

So the final question would be like "Is there any way to see Nvidia Demos on ATI 9800?"

Here is the Nvidia demo you can run: "Principles Of 3D"

More demos are coming, I will ask an expert :)

You can run Dawn on an ATI card: http://www.rage3d.com/articles/atidawning/

There is no need to be an ass, just answer the dudes question. Besides, english may not be his main language.

I just downloaded dawn and the wrapper and it will not work.
I put the ogl file in the bin dir.
The error is I need a FX class card to run it.
I wonder if nvidia has changed something in the demo?
Had the old dawn and wrapper and it run fine.
Just formated and lost the old one. :(

Anyone else notice this?
Or could it be the new cat 3.7 drivers doing it?

I saw a post from Ichneumon, I think, (mod at Rage3d) that said one of the extenstions the wrapper uses was no longer exposed. He indicated there was a different extension that the wrapper needs to use to get it to work.

There is a workaround to get Dawn to run on ATI cards with the current wrapper and Catalyst3.7 drivers.

Find/download 3.6 cats

If they are in an EXE, extract them with winrar etc
(I was lucky and had an install CD with them already extracted)

Find the file "atioglxx.dl_" and copy it to your desktop.
(now I thought I could just rename this file to atioglxx.dll = doesn't work)

extract/expand the file you copied to your desktop:
Start > run > type "cmd" > click ok.

At the prompt type "cd desktop" then hit enter.

Now type "expand atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll" and hit enter.
(this line is correct and works, pay close attention to space after the underscore_)

If you typed correctly, atioglxx.dll will appear on your desktop (it will be 4.42Mb in size!)

Drop that puppy into the C:\Program Files\Nvidia Corporation\Nvidia Demos\Dawn\bin folder and bask in the swee- sweet Dawn goodness !

MS-DOS_5.0 is hosting the file that is needed so that you don't have to manually extract it yourself. You can find his post near the bottom of the page. The zipped file is 1.4MB or something.

Thanks all! Now, how about the ogre or Dusk?

BTW, midwest accents and typing don't mix.

I figured I'd have seen someone make an OGL wrapper for Dusk at this point. Anyone know if it's being worked on?
