I am not sure which is best choice for me at 1920x1200, 670 or 680 as a single card. Seems 670 is the better choice. I also like physx.

Well the 670 is almost as fast as the 680 and 100 bucks cheaper. i was on the fence as well with the same thinking. Now to dump my 580.

the thing is that I should be able to get 150ish (if not more) for the 5870 (still need to research how much to ask for it), so this would bring the 680 closer to the 670 in price, if not the same price.

I got the EVGA 670 FTW Edition. I am very surprised how silent it runs and with temps going no further than 65c. It rapes Battlefield 3 with performance. My only issue are the drivers. With Skyrim, I could have it maxed out with mods and run around with buttery smooth performance until I look at the floor or any wall, then the performance drops to approx. 5fps. Also the Witcher 2 crashes when I tried to load a game. Some people in the Nvidia forums have the same issues, so I know it isn't me.

I also get more than 60FPS average on the Uniengine Heaven benchmark. I ****ing love this card. I also got a $20 credit from newegg because the same day I purchased the card, there was a $20 price drop a few hours later (WTF). I complained to them and they reimbursed me thankfully.

I'll give you $90 shipped for your 5870. :D

The 670 is the better choice of the two. I'm just simply amazed by the Gigabyte version. It's winter here, and my card is currently idling at 24c. I've got it overclocked to 1250/6500 with no problems at all. There is a little bit more headroom for overclocking, but I like to leave a bit and choose a nice round number.

I love the 3 slot ASUS card, the temps are awesome and I will not use any of the other slots. I have this thing about temps I know but I hate seeing a card get so high on temps even if they say it's normal.

Can't be two years, the normal 580 was released in Nov 2010 ;)

I got mine last Spring, the first 3GBs available and I also think it's time to get something else, especially now that the Desktop GK110 is pretty much confirmed to arrive as late as 2013.

I ordered two 680 4GB from Zotac, based on the reference design. No horrible and fancy custom coolers! I had to wait for the 4GB versions. 2GB is fine for pretty much everything except my resolution.

Damn you're right I purchased it 12/03/2010. Feels like a lot longer, lol

Picked up one of the EVGA 4GB FTW 680s when they went live yesterday on EVGAs website. They sold out in seconds but I snagged one. The problem is that EVGA has been placing a 1 card per household limit on purchases, so I'll have to scour the e-tailers to pick up my second one. At least I got it at the base price though, I'd like to avoid gouging as much as possible.
