i am currently playing gta3 and i have just noticed that the road marking is not straight! is this a game problem or video card specific problem? i remember playstation 1 does this kind of distortion too, but to a much greater extent.

Perhaps its meant to be like that? I dont think thats the result of any texture distortion..

either, they're using generated uv's for road markings, and its a game precision error, or its supposed to look like that.

that is the second city, called staunted island i think. there are quite a few roads look like that when you go to casino from home.
the road marking is becoming straight as its getting closer to you. not all roads look distorted tho, only some of them do, i dunno. maybe they are just coded inconsistently like that....

I noticed the same problems on my machine, running a variety of video cards. I've chalked it up to lousy coding. Don't sweat it too much. :)

I really do hate that crappy engine, they use it for all of their games to sigh
