first ones I do not remember, but there was some onboard... and one 2MB ??? beast...

but from what I remember

8MB Diamond Viper
Radeon 64 VIVO RMA'd and now is Radeon 7200 (good service)
GF2 MX 32 MB
Vodoo 5500 PCI
GF3 Ti 200
GF4 Ti 4200
Radeon 9800

and aof all these cards
the |Viper, GF2 and GF4  are not being used at the momnent (GF3 is doing just fine for the second PC so I can't be bothered to swap them)... Radeon has good VIVO for my TV so I use that PC mostly for films and V5500 is PCI so it's still in that PC if need be for dual monitor setup. ( but haven't used it for a year at least)...

Back when I was still on my 200 mhz in probably mid-99 or so, my friend just bought a big shiny Athlon (origional) 500 mhz. We refered to his computer as "the god machine":D
And I wanted a video card that would make my computer look that good, and of course not knowing anything about video cards I picked up the Voodoo card at the time, the Voodoo 3. Boy that was a nice card, I was able to bump pretty much anything up to 1024x768 or sometimes even 1280x1024 since my CPU was such a bottleneck. I also learned about "bottlenecks" back then. It even served me well when I went over to my 750, and while I later I got a GF2MX which was really crappy, and was only marginally faster then the Voodoo3 in most things (and I won't even go into the Unreal Tournament performence difference). So for the most part I kept my Voodoo 3 in until I got my GF3, though I think near the end I did swap it out for the GF2MX for Anti-aliasing and 32 bit color. Since then, I pretty much upgrade my computer every year for Best Buy's Day-After-Thanksgiving sale. So my cards would be:

Voodoo 3
GF3 TI200
GF4 TI4200

Hopefully they'll have a 9600pro out for this year's Day-After-Thanksgiving sale, I'd really love to use 6x AA/lv16 Aniso...

Back in 486 and P100 days it was some Sis cards. When went to P2, then purchases went like this:

1) Creative TNT 16 meg (Still have it)
2) Visiontek GF2 GTS 32 meg (Still have it)
3) Gainward GF3 Ti200 64 meg (Still using it)

Upgrade time is end of this year. Not sure what next purchase will be. Beginning to think might want to wait till early next year, but NV40 and R420 will probably cost too much. Probably will get the best card available at Xmas time which looks like it will be the R360.

Geforce 4 TI4600 128mb
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb

It's to bad about FX series cards ...Hopefully Nvidia sorts things out soon,Although my instinct tells me its more than a driver issue.. wich is the main reason I went with 9800P in the first place (my first ATI purchase),I gotta admit 9800 Pro is an awesome card ,I've had no problems with it and it runs everything wonderfully.

09-12-03, 05:21 PM
Voodoo 2 - best card ever!!! (neighbour stole it :D )
GF2MX - in my brothers P3-450
GF4200 - my current card

Voodoo 1
Voodoo 2
Riva 128, only used it a 2d card though
Geforce 1 256(sdr)
Geforce 2 GTS
Geforce 3
Geforce 4 ti4400
Radeon 9700pro
Radeon 9800pro

09-12-03, 06:28 PM
Here are all of the graphics cards (or integrated chips) any of my computers have used:

-Integrated 1mb VGA on Packard Bell 286 (long gone)
-4mb Scream'n 3d Rendition Verite 1000 by Sierra (still have this, with the box, manual and all the CDs!)
-2x Voodoo 3 2000 PCI (bro bought one for his P1 200Mhz to replace the rendition.... shortly after, I purchased one for my P2 400Mhz Gateway)
-Integrated 8mb STB Velocity 128 (Gateway lied to me about this..... the website said Riva 128, the invoice said Velocity 128...and it is the velocity.... was the first video I had in my first comp and its still running strong)
-Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS 32Mb (awesome video card... its in my old Athlon 750Mhz comp, which I sold to a freind... hes running UT2k3 on it, no problem!)
-Gainward Geforce 2 Pro 450 64mb (my brother's.... great card... being used by a freind)
-Gainward Geforce 4 Ti 4400 128mb (my brother's.... sweet card, still runing fine after a year and a half... although it was $300 when he bought it  )
-EVGA Geforce 4 Ti 4400 128mb(amazing piece of hardware considering its over a year and a half old now..... too bad it fried and stuck me with the following...)
-PNY Geforce 2 MX 200 32Mb PCI (oh god.... lets just move on)
-EVGA Geforce FX 5600 256Mb (well, its better than nothing, but I would have rather had my Ti 4400 which is what this replaced..... it was free and the service was fast, so I cant complain too much.... its not EVGA's fault that Nvidia makes their cards slower as time progresses  )

Hopefully I can add a Radeon 9800 non pro to this list some time soon, I just need money.... Im accepting donations for the "Geforce FX survivors foundation", just PM me if you want to help a good cause

I can't remember all the 2D cards I had (Dynamite 128, Stingray 64, and others), but the 3D boards are as follows:

Voodoo 1
Voodoo 2
Voodoo 2, SLI
Voodoo 3 3000
Voodoo 3 3500
Voodoo 5 5500
GF2 Ultra
GF3 Ti200
GF3 Ti500
GF4 Ti4400
Sapphire 9700 Pro
VisionTek 9800 Pro

The one that made the greatest impact on me was definitely the original Voodoo. Next is a toss-up between the Voodoo 2 and the 9700 Pro, with the V5 in 3rd place due to its amazing anti-aliasing (amazing for its time).

09-12-03, 07:01 PM
Kinda in order, kinda not. Pawned all of these off but the last.

Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 - 4mb
Creative Riva TNT - 16 mb
Diamond Viper TNT2 Ultra - 32mb
ATI Rage Fury Max - 64mb (I think it was, right? 2x 32)
Creative Geforce SDR -32 mb
Elsa Geforce DDR -32 mb
Matrox G200 - 16mb (?)
MSI Geforce 2 Pro - 64mb
Gigabyte Ref Geforce 3 - 64mb (review card from pacmandan)
Visiontek Geforce 4 - 128mb

They all served their purposes well except for the Geforce SDR- the fan cut out and the sucker fried on me. The Rage Fury Max looked real pretty, but was a pita to get working correctly, lots of glitches, and mediocre performance. The Matrox rocked my 2d world- that's no bs what they say about 2d quality with those. The MSI G2 pro oc'd like a mother. The Geforce 3 impressed me the most. The original TNT is still kickin in one of my friends machines.

09-12-03, 07:06 PM
here's mine (omitting lowly built-in cards like on an old B&W Mac Plus):

built-in ati rage PRO (imac)

onboard prosavage8ddr
geforce4mx440se DDR AGP
Geforce4 Ti4200 (current card)

09-12-03, 07:24 PM
4MB Cirrus Logic (AGP)
4MB Elephant Voodoo
12MB Creative Voodoo2 in SLI (24MB)
16MB Monster Banshee (PCI)
32MB Elsa TNT2 M64 AGP(biggest POS!!)
32MB RADEON LE (only had for half an hour :D )
32MB Creative Geforce2 GTS
128MB ASUS Ti4400
128MB Sapphire RADEON 9800 (Current)

I got rid of my Radeon as at the time they where poor NT performers and XP was due out so sold it off, got 50% more then i paid for it :D

09-12-03, 07:38 PM
Back in the day (on my dx2-66 oveclocked to 80, 4MB ide cache, 16MB ram!! ;) ), I had an
