GFFX 5900 Ultra and PS 2.0 (something unmentioned)

THis says it on my box, in my manual, on NV's website, etc.

My theory on why NV is gaining in PS 2.0, is that it says everywhere "NVidia's first ever [b]FULLY PROGRAMMABLE GPU[/]"

could this be the reason we are seeing gains in the Det 50's? or is it a marketing ploy?

I am a newb on how graphics cards work, but I know more than the basics....

Basically every GPU is programmable, but sadly you cant program more pixel shading units into the pipeline......

The "more programmability" is referring to shaders. NV3x has more shaders than NV2x- hence more programmable :p
