OK guys, Im getting desperate.

I've been looking around on Ebay, and the 9800s arent as cheap as I thought they would be. The only ones that look good are just too cheap to be real (they arent "buy it now") and the seller has only 8 feedback.... looks pretty risky to me.

The 9700 Pros are still pretty expensive on Ebay too.

If anyone here has any offers for 9800 non-pros (NOT SE), 9700 Pro or even a 9700 non pro if its real cheap, PLEASE PM ME .

If you know of anywhere to get one cheap, that would be great too (again, PM me.... it doesnt do me any good if a hundred people see the link and buy them up before I see it!:p).

Right now Im looking at spending around $200 for a 9800\9700 Pro.... and maybe around $170 for a 9700 non pro (those are rough prices). Im on a real tight budget and I have to do this quickly before my 5600's re-sale price drops to $10. Im almost flat broke, so I have to be able to afford a card after selling my 5600 256Mb for around $100-$120, and I need the card to last me through Half-Life 2, DX:IW, STALKER and Doom 3.

Im going to throw in some sad puppy-dog eyes and the words "I got stuck with a 5600 through an RMA" in hopes of getting some sympathy and a good deal.... :(

Thanks ahead of time for any input\offers :)

If'n I didn't love it so much, I'd sell you my soft-modable 9500.

But good luck in your search. :)

No offers yet.... :(

I just made my first post at Rage3d. It seems to be pretty active there, so hopefully someone will be able to help me out.

Heres the thread if you care: http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=1332268750#post1332268750

They had a 9700 Pro on there a week ago that was only $209. I would have bought it, but I would have NO warranty what so ever (because it was Sapphire brand and from what I have heard their RMA policy is almost non-existant). After thinking things through, Im glad I didnt buy a second hand\refurb card. Its a lot safer to buy retail. If there would have been a 9800 or 9700 Pro for around $200 retail (or even OEM.... just not second hand), I would have bought it up in a second.
My new 9600 Pro should be great though. And it only cost me $148, so I saved a lot of $$$ too :)

I just got a 9700 Pro All in Wonder card at Circuit City for $250. Is that a very good price? I'm new to the ATI world.:)
