How about a beverage and sandwich shop, with access to the latest in technolgy high speed computers? And on the side to bring more business you can even offer high speed lan parties late fridays into the weekend like another user said, with a cover charge to enter with prizes to give them insentives to pay the cover charge. How great $25 dollars to enter and a chance to go home with $500 Radeon 9800PRO.

These type of coffee shops with high speed access are getting real big. I myself is investigating the best way to jump on this bandwagon before its to late. What you all think?

It's still a great idea because the majority of those places SUCK as they are not run by people such as us, who have some clue on how to run a place like that.

Do you have any knowledge of how to run a business? If not, you might want to take some of that money and invest in some education to get yourself an MBA. Use the balance to start your business.

Or, you might want to use that money as venture capital to investi in something that's looking to get off the ground, like a real estate development or something. Just don't invest the money in Infinium Labs. :p

Then you didn't answer my first question. Do you know anything about running a business? It ain't as easy as you think.

Me, I'd love to drop everything and start up my own anime store. But it's a ton of hard work, long hours and not terribly much in the way of gratification. I totally respect those people who are able to do this, dedicate their lives to it and do it well.

Actually, I didn't even see your question. Sorry I skipped over it by mistake. To answer your question, no... I have never ran or owned a business but I am starting business school in the fall for a Masters in MIS. I just want to do something now... I am so sick of school. It took me 8 years just to get my Bio degree... hehe ... I will graduate with honors though ;)

Well, then you might want to stick to venture capital. That would probably be the best way to go. Just make sure you invest in something that has a solid business model, where you'll be able to make some sort of return within 10 years.

Good luck. :)
