The never-ending soap opera that is Diabloâ??s online strategy continues. First there were connectivity issues, then claims of hacking, and, yesterday, new buyers began getting slapped with up-to-72-hour restrictions (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/06/21/digital-diablo-iii-purchases-restricted-for-up-to-3-days/) to Diablo IIIâ??s Starter Edition â?? aka, its demo. Next up, weâ??ll probably find out that Torchlightâ??s been Diabloâ??s son all along, but both of them got amnesia and the paternity test exploded. It turns out, however, that the credits havenâ??t quite rolled on this weekâ??s episode. Apparently, new players actuallyÂ*arenâ??tÂ*supposed to be thrown into demonic demo dungeons. They are, however, still subject to roughly a gazillion other baffling restrictions.
