Point of View have a nVidia FX 5700 Ultra on their site.

It says:

Core Clock: 450 Mhz
Memory Clock: 500 Mhz
Memory Access Speed: 3.6 ns DDR

http://www.pointofview-online.com/1024/products/fx/fx5700.php

I thought it was supposed to be a 500 Mhz core clock? And the 3.6 ns Memory.... isn't that a bit slow? Unless it has a 256-bit memory interface....

And I wonder how it will compete against Radeon9600XT.

What's the equation that tell you how fast your memory can be clocked at?

meaning, what's 3.6ns equal to in Mhz? Thanks!

Gee Point of View is strange, it has 5900 Ultra core clock at 425Mhz, it bit low than default 450Mhz.

1000/3.6 = 277mhz

What the hell is Point Of View heh. Anyway it does look like 5800 on that box :)

Point of View is a brand that is fairly popular over here in Europe, just like Club3D. They've sold many GF4 Ti's because most of them have proven to be nicely overclockable and stable cards.

And the box does indeed say FX5800, but I'm guessing that they are doing what they did in the past; use another box when the 'real' box is still unavailable.

3.6ns is indeed rated for a theoretical 277Mhz, so running it at 250 Mhz (effective 500Mhz) means that there's still some headroom for overclocking. And if they are indeed using a 256-bit memory interface.... I would guess that it will probably still perform badly in DX9 games, but I think this could probably give it the edge over a Radeon9600(XT) in current games especially with AA and AF enabled (unless the 9600XT also pulls a 256-bit meminterface out of it's hat).

Hmmm I never seen a single Point of View brand product anywhere here in Scotland and the rest of UK, probably popular outside UK.

Well UK is not actually what I consider Europe. :D Let me rephrase. Mainland Europe.

Very cool find, if the numbers are true, its gonna be clocked lower than the 9600XT, assumeing rumors for the 9600XT clocks are true LOL
