Sorry, my bad. There's some monster threads going about this already at a few other sites and I thought there was one here already from last night, but I could be mistaken.

The bit I found most intriguing was the back sheet with all the stats. Note the lack of any core/memory speeds and that reference to "Dynamic OverClocking" under "System Doctor II"?

Intriguing.... :)

Yea, ASUS always had some weird tech going on; crazy overclocking utilities, weird BIOS implementations etc. Not that I mind :p

Looks like Im finally switching from Nvidia to ATI. :p

Ive owned Asus GF3, GF3 TI500, & GF4 TI4600, and been thrilled with them all. Had I bought an FX, it wouldve been theirs, but I just couldnt bring myself to do it...

Now my problem's solved. Asus 9800 Pro it is.

They are bringing back their motion detection software, my friend had that and we kinda got it to work, pritty crappy though but fun.

I'm happy to see nVidia suffer for their evil "if you make cards with anyone else's chips, we wont sell you ours!" manners...
They started the whole "one card company - one chipmaker" idiocy, let them suffer for it!

/me thinks back to the good old days when Hercules made both the Dynamite TNT (nVidia TNT), Terminator BEAST Supercharged, (S3 Savage) and a Voodoo2 card... whatever its name was...

I think the "Terminator BEAST" was the funniest name for a card series ever... I hope they revive the name with a DeltaChrome card... maybe the "Terminator BEAST Ressurected" :D

Yup, looks like the writings on the wall folks, if Asus has gone ATi, then Nvidia's next offering must not be competitive. :(

Drat, and I was looking forward to their next-gen too.

the descriptions for all cards there show VGA but the 9800xt says DVI and then dual, and no mention of the word VGA, ive been holding onto my gainward 4600 dual-dvi awaiting the next card faster (those 5200 and 5600 dual-dvi cards dont cut it) with dual-dvi....i am praying theres a chance this card could be dual-dvi, as im still in awe that top cards arent dual-dvi these days, with digital 19" under $500 now its not much to assume...

Looks like a typo - though the card in the pic has VGA and DVI... not to mention a h#ll of a cooler.

What a sec!! That card has VIVO features!!! Long overdue on an ATI card!
