View Full Version : About to go to a school "lock-in"

I'm sure you have heard of "lock-ins." Where you go to school and stay the whole night there. I have to go there at 10:00 PM and come back home at 6:00 AM.

They have free food and drinks, movie room, video game room which has Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube, bands playing, the computers hooked up for a Quake III fest, and the gym is open for sports. Should be fun. :D

id think in usa parents would have a fit is the school is sponcering violence ala games and quake..........

My school used to have lock-ins where they didn't care what we did. We played Unreal Tournament, Counterstrike, AvP, etc. But then of course the Columbine shootings happened, and all the sudden we couldn't play anything rated Mature and most certainly couldn't play anything where you shoot eachother. They wanted us to play racing games :rolleyes:
We just BARELY got them to let use play Starcraft! Man that sucked that we couldn't play any other games, and it took us like 3 hours to set up Starcraft on every computer and crack it (since a few people didn't own the game). But I'm sure there's other schools that don't care what games you play at the lock-in.

heh, the chances of something like that happening at my high school (when i was still in school) would have been 0. We were lucky to have a social 4 times a year (a band in the school hall for about 4 hours).. What country are u guys in.. In Australia you'd be dreaming, if you thought you could do something like that at your school.

I spend enough hours at school for me to want to go back during the night... ugh...

Besides, the computers at school are pretty much the "where's the axe, I want to chop it up" type...
