whoa:eek:
Upped the 9800 Pro to 430/360 and got.
3dmark2001 - 17294
3dmark2003 - 6046
That's about all I'm gonna get (without turning down the texture and LOD slider which would be cheating). I think I can live with that.
BTW, ibgoodenough, I didn't know we were competing, but apparent you are with the "I win" thing. Go for it dude if that's your thing.

Mike,
#1, don't take everything so literally, #2 nice scores, #3 last time I will be as nice to such a sarcastic comment.
comment #3 was unnecessary. I could have done the same thing regarding a lot of other scores but I didn't, it's not what I was focusing on. I took it that you apparently were and simply commented on it, no sarcasm intended. No big deal either way.

hey ibgoodenuf, when'd you get the new rig? I used to be proud of my system until you posted your new one:lol:

9750 on Bubbles & 3000 on Boomer. I forget what Blue is doing now, somewhere around 5-6K...but I don't really game on her much anymore.
Babs can't run the test, and me daughter is STILL pissed at me about that! (The "truck game" is one of their favorites, yes my kids like to watch the benchmarks run. )

Lord,
I finished it up about a month ago, got my 9800 on preorder. I am hoping the nv35 is something special because I have always felt that nVidia cards have a certain feel about them. I read so much about IQ, but my 4600 was every bit this cards equal in that regard. Though I am playing on a new 20.1FP. I just think nVs are a bit smoother-warmer, just intangibly better feeling.
Mike,
I now understand your response. You apparently thought what I said was directed at you and your sys. It didn't even enter my mind. I just assumed for the time being that I had posted the highest score in the thread. Azhael, over at R3D beats me by a good 200 pts in '03. There is always gonna be someone faster. I love my rig though and am proud to have built such a fine machine. My 9yo daughter is equally happy as all my old parts went into a nice little mid tower case for her. She is running an Abit KX with 512 mb pc2700ocz ram, an XP2100, sblive, and I traded my 4600 to a friend for his 8500(a favor to him) to run in her machine. She has 802.11b access to my 3Mbps cable connection and loves to watch DVDs on her 21" Hitachi CM 812 monitor. She is a great kid and deserves all of it.

Very nice! How are you cooling your card? As I said, there is always someone faster. Congrats. PCMark2002 maybe? Hehe.

It's only watercooled.
But I'm running about 1,85 Volts through the poor core. :naughty:
I don't think it will survive for too long:(
Hopefully, I've managed to sell it before it goes completely nuts. :D
In two months I'm joining the army. I'll try to sell it before then.
Uhm...about the PCMark stuff...eh...I don't think so... :o

Mind posting that 18000 link on a 4200?
Hey, this thread is still alive :) You gotta love these new Canterwood motherboards if you're a P4 user. I know I do. I just put some watercooling on the R9800 too, another 20 Mhz on the core and I'm past 21k (link in sig). And this is a 24/7, 100% stable, 100% artifact free speed too
