Its your CPU & RAM .
i got 19631 in my 3.4 system (see sig) . i think its low too .. its either 3dmark2001 is not so Pentium frienly or my system need to be reformatted .

with a coupla tweaks I can break 20k easy but I generally leave settings lax...

this test is pretty much cpu limited @ this point... your card is doing its best but the cpu is holding back the score in the first few game tests...
I'm getting a ~ 19500
thats on my P4:3.4/X800Pro/1GB RAM system !
it must be the Pentium .

I'm getting about the same here, except I have a faster Processor (3.06ghz w/HT @ 533mhz FSB) and less ram (512mb). So would it be memory or CPU here? Don't really want to do a re-install... though I probably need it anyhow, considering every time that I right click on a folder in windows explorer that has too many files in it, explorer crashes then reloads....
By the way, I'm using the 62.20 beta drivers, if that makes any difference (was originally running the 61.77 and they scored the same) Also, could it be due to the AGP 4x bus, which my board has as well?

18 500 for a 5600U at 556/945 or so. With chileld liquid cooling and 1.5v on the core.
Interestingly when I run 3dmark03 the core goes to 1.7v up from 1.5v as per normal, but in 3dmark2001 it sticks at 1.5v ..weird.

Andy

Thermaltake 480W power supply, M Audio 7.1, dual 17" monitors with extended desktop, 300W sub, XP pro
I am considering buying one of those fanless Zalman GPU
coolers with the two plates connected by heat pipes. Right
now my 9700 is on stock cooling. Has anyone significantly
boosted their performance after such a mod??
Thanks... :angel2:

I have some tuning & tweaking to do on this one. I will try upping the fsb and see if the 6800U has anything left to give! :naughty:

Higher scores from this thread really seem CPU related. AMD64 systems really cook.
Next system will be AMD with nForce4 SLI

Well it isn't SLI and not bad for what it is.
