why how much more performace would i gain with the 3200. And if i did buy would i up the fsb settings on my mobo to be 200/400 instead of the 133/266 that its runnin at now. And would my system remain stable cause i was only originaly desingned to run at 166/333. Cause ive seen some nforce2 boards out there that specificaly support the 200/400 bus setting.
pc2700 is just getting a bit old thats all, its something you maybe able to cover over to your next upgrade? Geil has a good name in ram as far as I know, but this pc2700 is budget ram for those sort of timings. If its in your budget you shouldnt have any problems with that ram, just dont expect too much from it if you try any overclocking of the fsb.
I have "GEIL PC3200 400MHz DDR SDRAM Value" Rams in fact 1GB's worth and they have been nice with no problems what so ever, was cheap as compared to other brands, its PC3200 or 400MHz DDR ram but ratings are 2.5, 6,3,3 ,2t which isn't as fast as some others manufacturer's RAM ratings.

I got the dual kit (thats 2X512MB) for around USD$180.
Still, its nice. Geil aren't as bad as some ppl might think they are :) They are stable enough for me! :)
