What is the Matrix?


Ladies and Gentelmen we truley live in a matrix .This matrix is a world of people created by God who wonder around in absollute ignorace of their creator. They do as they please and live the way they want in complete deneyal of what there true purpose is. That purpose is to glorify their creator and to get the news out out to others thay they are traped but can be freed from their destructive life styles. Death is not the end of the journey but only the begginig. To live forever with God and his son Jesus in complete glory and splendor. Many are traped in the reality of the matrix. Its a tool of Satan to trap those who reley on their own knoledge. He wants those who turn away from God to spend an eternity in hell where there is pain and nashing of teeth. This is the true matrix we live in people and the only way out is to accept Jesus as ur lord a savior.

if u dont have Jesus as lord of ur life then u apply. Accept Jesus and he will free ur from anything that worrys ur or has u in bondage. Hes worked wonders for me. And he is always there for me when i need him.

See now this is what bugs the hell out of me. You assume because I don't lead the same life as you that I have something wrong with me, that I feel empty. I don't I live a happy life, I have a beautiful girlfriend a steady job and a nice home to come back to after a hard days work. Jesus cannot provide these comforts, I can. I get myself out of any problems I get myself into and work hard for myself. Stop trying to force your beliefs onto me and looking down upon my life because I have not accepted Jesus.

Tell ya da truth Jesus would probly want nothin to do with games. It can be a big distraction somtimes. Gets in the way of school , jobs , an maybe even some marriges. He was probly doin us a favor casue whe hl2 comes out were goin to stop havin a life. A become game aholics.

I think the matrix has a lot in common with Gnostic christianity(one of the first sects). hehe, but gnosticism has an interesting twist it isnt, like any of the other sects.

The gnostics believed that all matter was created from the son of a fallen aeon sophia(something like an angel), thay believed the son of the fallen aeon was evil or at least incompantent. They believed this son of the fallen aeon to be Yahweh, the God of the old testament. They believed that yahweh had trapped spirits from the realm of light in bodies of matter and all matter was evil. They believed jesus christ to be the son of the true God, who they believed was different from yahweh the god of the old tesament:) , and that jesus had came to free people from the tyranny of the god of the hebrews and that through the teaching be brought they could escape from the Matrix, so to speak, and go back to the realm of light and be with jesus and the true god. They also believed jesus was never really incarnate in a human body, they believed he had a hologram body or something of that nature because if he was incarnate in flesh he would have been trapped and corrupt. hehe, this was a very large sect of christianity.

The teaching of paul and others do not imply that the soul escapes the body, according to paul, a person goes to the grave and stays there until judgement day when god will raise them up and transform their body into some sort of super body. The greeks believed in an immortal soul that lived on after the body was dead(ie you stay in the matrix becaue it is good like it says in genesis, but u get a new body), when paul went to speak to the philosopers in athens they thought he was gross and perhaps a nut when he started talking of ressurection of the body. its all right in the bible:afro2:


The matrix goes along almost perectly with the beliefs the gnostics had, hehe all accept for the violence and such. there is a philosophy section of the matrix website that goes into detail, its worth reading:D
I don't really such a strong connection between the matrix and say, protestanism:0

also, the gospel of thomas is a surviving gnostic writing, its very interesting
