I just wanted to know what's the difference in fps. I have a 4x agp motherboard. If 8x makes a big difference then I guess i'll upgrade my motherboard.
P.S. How do OC my athlon xp 1800+ 1.5ghz??? I saw someone with a 1700+ oc to 2000 mhz!!! HOW???

5% tops. Not worth upgrading your board if 8x AGP is all you want.

Probably has a Thoroughbred-B 1700+ and an nForce2, which automatically unlocks the multiplier on those processors. Your 1800+ is a Palomino core so you'd probably have no such luck becuase of heat, voltages and limitations of your present motherboard.

hmmm I already posted about what to get, I just wan't to be sure on this. Should I stay with my athlon 1800+, 512 mb ram, nforce motherboard, and just buy a 9600 pro/9600xt, or should I just get a whole new system?

Depends on what you want to spend. If you're not sure, I would wait, save some money, then upgrade to a P4 or Athlon 64 system with a 9800XT or whatever next-generation card comes out. An XP 1800+ is no slouch.
If you really want to get that 9600 Pro, go for it. It'll be a nice upgrade if you have a GF3 or less. If you have a GF4 Ti, I'd hold out a bit longer.

It's crap for those people that say it is crap. Is it good enough for you? Does it run the things you want to run at the speeds you want? At the end of the day, your opinion is the only one which truly matters ;)

been using the NV28 w/ 8x AGp on 4x, and it is about the same performance, only thing that drags down my system is PC133, not DDR, ram...
Note: The FX5200 is a great "budget" card, but don't expect miracles from it...
