Unfortunately guys my TV card doesn't work in there and I went back to XP :/
It detected and installed my driver perfectly in Linux BUT the software that was installed to watch TV was 's' with a 'hit' on the end.

BT484 or something. Good old Lifeview pci tv tuner. Works in XP but not Linux :(

That's a great reason to go back hahaha
There are tons of resources out there on how to troubleshoot it :)

Great. Please tell me how to get it to work?
That's the ultimate reason I went back to XP. Also for the fact that there are games from www.spidweb.com that I love playing so much that only work in windows. Please if you can tell me how to get them working and my TV tuner. I will switch back.

what version/distribution of Mandrake are you using?

I think there was a thread in the Linux discussion area about Mandrake and TV cards. Has it setup up your sound card properly? That is one problem with Mandrake and certain sound cards. When installing it does it properly but then later it reverts back to some SB default. Kinda annoying.

Freshmeat is also working on a gui based installer for all u folks who hate using the unix cmd line.
to install progs :D

Dorothy say bye bye to Kansas!:D

Oh and regarding that thread you posted on the linux forum about whether you can play mac games on linux, it depends on which version of osx those games where designed to be run on. Games which use lots of mac native structures wont run on linux.

I still don't know if you are having problems or not. You said the card is detected though it's not functional right? Did you try out some different software?
