call of Duty to be shipped out on October 29, 2003. (http://www.electronicsboutique.com/ebx/product/media/relatedmedia.asp?pf_id=234661&element_id=A6076143)
It's been that date for a few weeks dude. You must be extra happy just finding out. This should be a decent game, I just hope multiplayer is good.

jAkUp's avatar owns all.
*ahem* back on topic. I played the demo, and man, it's insane! It feels much less scripted than MOH, and more intense.. even during the one demo mission.
I will get it for sure.
*Sigh* it's taking TOO LONG!!!

Anyone know where I can get that PC Gamer demo? I need a fix until the game's released.

Same here.
I fear that if I play the demo once more I will exhaust all the interest I have in this game. It runs great, sounds great and I love the environment. The sound is definitely a lot better then MOHAA. Not to forget that the blood'n'guts this game has compared to MOHAA. Not to forget the mp player component of this game.
If only there was less scripting involved especially in the vehichle department...:( .
btw. it seems that I have an avatar sister.:D mmm, threesome.... <slap>

I'm pretty sure a "promotion" version has been leaked that has like 5-6 playable levels, but I've heard it's a bitch to get working and a bit buggy so I never investigated further.
Other than that, there is a torrent link somewhere in the games section here for the other CoD demo...the "search" button is your friend. ;)
EDITED BITS: Oh, here's the thread with the other CoD demo (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19330)....I'm too tired to be a hard-ass.

No problem to get it working. It's five levels. The first one is the original demo level. There are supposed to be 24 levels in the game. There are all levels in this promo except the last one but only the 5 are in .bsp format so the others need to be compiled. Waste of time doing that, by the time you can figure out how to do that (it's not current Radiant version) you could go to the store and buy the game. There are missing things in the promo though, like sound and I can't get the pixel shaded water with my Radeon 9700 Pro but someone posted a picture with a Geforce Ti4200 that did.
I hope the multiplayer in this game is good because I plan on buying it.

Thanks for the skinny on the promo version, it sounds like I took a pass on it for the right reasons. (I'm getting tired of buggy betas, I'll wait for the finished game on this one. :) )

Not that Call of Duty doesn't rock the house, but if the "promo" version were to be sanctioned, then we would actually have the first real shareware release for a good game in years.
Still, nothing touches Doom and Duke3D, that's like releasing a full third of Halo.
I miss the good ol days.
They are getting stingier with their demos.

Didnt the Quake shareware include an entire third of the game?
