View Full Version : Anyone want to take on McDonalds?

McDonalds is putting out their monopoly game again and I figured wouldn't it be great to be a millionare? Only drawback, getting all those pieces.
I figure Mr. McDonald is tipping the scales in his favor by scattering all the winning pieces halfway across the globe. Enter, the Internet.
Anyone care to post their pieces, gather up, and see if we can pull off a win?

people are selling peices on ebay.
it makes me sick
We are playing it at work. The thing is, most of the pieces are very common. There is no point in trading them. Its the rare pieces that you are really playing for, and nobody will trade those.

I'm betting they're not only rare but also spread around the country. Basically they're only rare per region.
I'll post my pieces as soon as I get home.
...but that would mean I would have to eat the food. blehhh. I'd rather be poor.

That's not going to work.
They will put out literally about 400 million park places, and 4 boardwalks worldwide.
They will put out millions of 3 pieces, while only printed 5 of the remaining 4th pieces needed to score a win. Or 2 of 3, etc etc.

I won a free value meal today(est value, $6.00!), go me!
Of course I gave it away because it was lunch or dinner only, and said food sucks.

There definitely seems to be a correlation there - fat people tend to eat out, especially at "greasy spoons" much more often than health conscious people. I guess it shouldn't be much of a surprise right?

Nah. Sausage Biscuits. Then again, that's just because there's no Hardee's in this town, and the McD biscuits are actually not crappy.
But that's only when the bagel place isn't open... /me dreams of his glorious toasted plain bagel with two sausage patties

I used to eat out every day for lunch. Probably gained about 35 pounds over two years doing that. Unless you are pretty young and have a real high metabolism or are working out regularly it's very difficult to keep weight off if you eat out frequently. :(
It's a shame most of the good tasty stuff seems to be so high in calories.

i ate the biggest meal burger king has to offer every day for a year, and lost 3 pounds.
now i eat whenever i get money, and toss around 200lb tree rounds. i've gained about 10 pounds, but i've lost what little fat i had.

Wow, wish I could eat a nice big dbl. whopper meal every day and lose weight. What's the secret???
I haven't found anything but exercise w/low calories (2000/day) that works for me.

exercise is the key really, and it keeps your heart healthy while your at it!

You'd need to be doing a real heavy amount of exercise to avoid gaining weight after eating a double whopper meal each day. One of those should be around 800-1000 calories including a non-diet drink. That right there is half the recommended caloric intake for someone who isn't very active.... If you exercise you can probably get away with it but most people who eat double whopper meals each day probably don't make fitness a high priority... ;)
