I'm thinking about moving up to 5700 regular/non ultra from my current Ti4200, would it be worth it?

The core clocks for 5700 is 425 or 450MHz, seen 2 AIB's website with differering specs, and memory is probably 3.6ns TSOP, 275MHz/550MHz effective.

Any comments?

Only if you use AA & AF. If you went with a radeon, you could add DX9 games to the list.

Otherwise it will be pretty much the same, heck it has pretty much the same bandwith as your Ti4200. Only diffrence is DX9 support.

You'd be far better off spending a little bit more and getting the Ultra version. Or just a bit more and getting the 5900 Non Ultra.

Believe me. I have been tempted to upgrade several times myself. But unless you spend the apropriate amount for the correct hardware. You're going to be wasting even more money you'll have a hard time justifying to yourself later
