I just purchased an Albatron FX5200EP from Newegg and I'm having a problem with it that I cant figure out.
It claims to be 8X/4X AGP compatible but when I plug it into 2 different 4X AGP motherboards (Asus CUSL2 and Abit KG7-RAID) it wont display anything and I get the POST code for no video card found/video ram defective (1 long, 3 short beeps). When I plug it into an 8X AGP board (ASUS P4P800 Deluxe) all works fine.
I have put the original video cards back into the 2 machines and verified that the AGP rate is set to 4X in the BIOS, but still nothing when I install the 5200.
Ive sent an email to Albatron's US tech support, but I thought I would pose the question here also. Any help is greatly appreciated.
